I. Warranty Period
- Start Date of Warranty:
- Sea Transportation: One month from the date of the Bill of Lading;
- Land Transportation: From the date of customs declaration.
- Duration of Warranty:
- Road Trucks: Within 12 months or until the vehicle has traveled 60,000 kilometers, whichever comes first;
- Off-Road Trucks and Engineering Trucks: Within 6 months or until the vehicle has traveled 30,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.
II. Warranty Coverage During the warranty period, SINOTRUK will repair or replace, free of charge, any vehicle products that are damaged or have failed due to material defects or manufacturing defects. The warranty does not cover items listed in Annex 1 under Non-Warranty Terms.
III. Compulsory Service Vehicles manufactured and used by SINOTRUK, and vehicles permitted to use SINOTRUK trademarks, will receive one compulsory service when the vehicle has traveled between 2000 to 4000 kilometers and within six months.
Note: Normal wear and maintenance are not covered by the warranty.
IV. Consumables The service life of consumables is variable and depends on factors such as mileage, geographical and driving conditions, and driving behavior. Examples of consumables include:
- Oil filters, bulbs, brake linings;
- Fuel filters, wiper blades, coolants;
- Air filters, clutch plates, oils;
- Drive belts for fans, fuses, coolant filters;
- Exhaust systems, alternators, etc.
Note: Consumables are not covered by the warranty.
Annex 1: Scope of Non-Warranty Terms
- No warranty will be provided for vehicles that have been modified, reworked, or altered without permission from SINOTRUK. 1a. No warranty will be provided if the compulsory service has not been carried out when the vehicle has traveled between 2000 to 4000 kilometers.
- Warranty service will not be provided for faults or damages resulting from the following reasons:
- The customer has not used or maintained the vehicle in accordance with the requirements specified in the User’s Manual and other documents provided by SINOTRUK.
- Improper use or overloading of the vehicle.
- Appropriate measures were not taken when the vehicle failed, was about to fail, or the alarm system issued a failure warning, leading to aggravated faults.
- Lead seals have been broken.
- Use of parts or assemblies not authorized by SINOTRUK.
- Use of lubricating oil, grease, or coolant not specified by SINOTRUK.
- The vehicle was serviced by units not authorized by SINOTRUK.
- The following services or adjustments required by normal wear (consumption) and normal maintenance are not within the scope of the warranty:
- Normal wear (consumption) and maintenance refer to the types of wear, damage, and maintenance that may occur at any time and are influenced by driving mileage, weather, environment, conditions of use, and driving operations.
- Parts subject to normal wear (consumption) include: oil filter, fuel filter element, air filter element, friction disk of brake shoe, clutch driven disk, fan belt, windshield wiper, bulb, fuse, lubricating oil, grease, coolant, battery electrolyte, fuel, tire, etc.
- Normal maintenance includes: adjustment and repair of various types of valves, fuel injectors, hydraulic pumps, coolant pipes, fuel pipes, oil pipes, and air pipes, as well as adjustment of power steering and clutch control systems.
- For services within the scope of the warranty, SINOTRUK will only cover the cost of warranty parts and not any other losses or charges stipulated by the government.
