On the road of rapid development, Sinotruk has bravely taken on social responsibilities and moved forward with love. It has invested more than 100 million yuan in disaster relief projects and donated nearly 30 million yuan in property. Over the years, Sinotruk Group has taken the initiative to assume social responsibilities, actively supported charity and assistance to the disabled, and enthusiastically participated in various public welfare activities in society: in July 2006, it took the lead in establishing a corporate charity workstation in Jinan City, organizing and guiding employees to actively participate in various disaster relief and daily charity donation activities. Moreover, with the development of the company and the enhancement of employees’ charitable awareness, the number of donations has increased year by year. Sinotruk’s pledged charity funds to the Shandong Province and Jinan Charity Federation has increased from the original 20 million to the current 100 million yuan, donating 5.6 million yuan each year. Sinotruk (Hong Kong) Company has continuously donated public welfare funds to Hong Kong charities since its listing, and was awarded the Hong Kong Community Chest Honorary Award. In the “Respect, Care, and Help” activities for the disabled, donations were made to the Shandong Province and Jinan City Disabled Welfare Foundation for medical treatment, rehabilitation, education, and living assistance for poor disabled people; every year on the arrival of the “National Day for the Disabled”, love projects will be presented to the disabled.

Faced with various disasters – the Wenchuan earthquake, the Yushu earthquake, the freezing disaster, the drought in the south, the Southeast Asian tsunami, the Huayuan coal mine flooding accident… Over the past few years, China National Heavy Duty Truck employees have generously donated a total of 30 million yuan in cash and materials. Some units also organized their employees to go deep into the disaster area to distribute goods to the masses and give mineral water to school students; to support the Sichuan people in rebuilding their homes, in May 2009, Sinotruk invested the first sum of money in Mianyang to build Sinotruk Mianyang Special Purpose Vehicle Co., Ltd. with an annual production capacity of 10,000 special-purpose vehicles. The company was officially put into production in December 2009 and provided 300 jobs for Mianyang City; on August 24, 2010, the Mianyang Municipal People’s Government and Sinotruk Group Co., Ltd. signed the Sinotruk Group Sichuan Mianyang Truck Project Agreement, with a total investment of about 2 billion yuan. After completion and production, it will form an annual production capacity of 40,000 heavy-duty vehicles. The initial investment is about 1 billion yuan, forming an assembly capacity of 20,000 heavy trucks; in 2010, in response to the national western strategy and the strategic layout of the Haixi development, Sinotruk Group Chengdu Wangpai Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd. and Fujian Haixi Automobile Co., Ltd. were unveiled one after another.

SINOTRUK organized its employees to participate in various volunteer activities and actively supported various public welfare undertakings in the society: donated 20,000 yuan to a primary school in Shanxi to help it improve its educational infrastructure; invested one million yuan in 2008 to participate in the construction of a socialist new countryside, and funded the construction of a series of infrastructure such as paving roads, repairing bridges, building water conservancy facilities, installing street lights, and building biogas pools in Qimiao Village, Longsangsi Town, Shanghe County, Shandong; in order to support the municipal construction of Jinan, in March 2010, SINOTRUK donated 10 multi-functional sanitation vehicles worth a total of 5 million yuan to Jinan Municipal Government for free, benefiting the people of Jinan.

In addition, SINOTRUK is also enthusiastic about supporting the development of sports, and has successively sponsored the Shandong Women’s Football Team, the Life Daily Qunkang Club Chess Team, and sponsored the Chinese Wrestling Championship, the National Women’s Weightlifting Team, the 11th National Games, and the Chinese Weightlifting Team’s journey to the London Olympics.

In the face of financial turmoil and unstable capital markets, Sinotruk always protects the interests of shareholders and has increased its holdings of Sinotruk (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. by 43,218,000 shares on September 23 and October 17, 2009.

In 2010, in the “Volunteer Service Action for Caring for Empty-Nest Elderly” in Jinan City, it donated 200,000 yuan of volunteer service funds to the China Volunteer Service Foundation; under the influence of the group company’s charity work, the professional factory took the initiative to carry out charity work in rural areas, carried out the “Light up the Little Orange Lantern” activity, and donated more than 890 books to left-behind children.
